About this role

This position will report to the Director - Rental & Sales Operations and can be located at any branch of MGX Equipment, depending on the proximity of selected candidate, and reports to the Sales Director.  MGX Equipment branches are in Aiken, SC; Baltimore, Md; Baton Rouge or Belle Chase, La; Billings, Mt; Birmingham, Al; Dallas or Houston, Tx; Denver, Co; Norfolk, Va; Phoenix, Az; Salt Lake City, Ut or Winston-Salem, NC.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversight of all cranes rental fleet for MGX Equipment.
  • Facilitate all DMV tagging and titling for crane rental fleet.
  • Maintain eligibility and online logging of all third-party haul tickets and invoice matching.
  • Ensure accurate inventory completion of all rental fleet.
  • Ensure proper communication from all locations to continually evaluate future utilization projections and ensure proper fleet levels.
  • Perform analysis of rental agreements including non-dispatched contracts, outstanding pickups, and units rented in lieu.
  • Assist in evaluation of current fleet performance and exit strategies for underperforming fleet.
  • Process customer credit applications into system.
  • Process or assist in AP Batching for rentals, parts or service as needed.
  • Assist in invoicing of machines and proper commissions.
  • Assist in tracking all sales accruals.
  • Perform branch ISR daily duties for locations with no ISR.
    • Process all New Units in Yard Forms
    • Complete all rental contracts, dispatch, pickup, in lieu, swap, etc.
    • Communicate with Service Departments for timely availability of fleet.
    • Process credits and purchase orders as required.
    • Process all hauling transactions through third part haul and driveaway vendors.
  • Provide rental user support for locations with ISR.
  • Provide hands-on training for new ISRs.
  • Communicate with corporate departments and other regional personnel to resolve issues.
  • Routinely travel to branch locations to assess and assist operations.
  • Periodically evaluate ISR performance and provide feedback to ISR, Branch Manager, VP, etc. 
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required with five (5) years of customer service experience in the equipment/rental industry.
  • Must have knowledge in operations management in rental, parts, and/or service departments; equipment rental operations and product support business knowledge required. 
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365 applications. 
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to work with people across all levels of the organization, and possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be willing to travel as business conditions allow (minimal travel).

This position will be located in a combination shop and office environment, with considerable exposure to elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises. While performing the duties of this job, the employees is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. There is frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
