What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for the management of career counseling, which includes counseling, mental health support, student assessment, career preparation, and other counseling programs, in compliance with government and management directives.
Essential Functions:
- Develop departmental budget; monitor and control expenditures, and review and recommend changes to budget authorizations.
- Develop and implement new and revised policies and procedures affecting the directorate and subordinate departments; coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with overall center objectives.
- Regularly assess and audit directorate for contractual compliance and quality of services to students; prepare audit and assessment reports.
- Conduct audits and assessments regularly; prepare related reports; maintain a comprehensive center self-assessment system for areas of responsibility.
- Assist center director in planning, coordinating and directing the administrative and programmatic activities of the center; serve as acting center director in the director's absence.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree, including 15 semester hours of instruction in social services-related instruction
- Two (2) years of experience in counseling or related field required, and working with youth adults. Supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
