Full time live-out Nanny required for a Brooklyn family with two young children starting February 2026. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be mainly responsible for all child related duties for their infant girl, including providing nurturing care and interacting with her in a loving, attentive and age-appropriate way. The ideal candidate is warm, positive, proactive, and independent with good communication skills and who is a calm and collected individual.
Someone who is energetic and shows initiative with meal prep (preparing nutritious meals for baby as she transitions to solids) during nap time will be successful in this home. Education or equivalent practical knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development is necessary. Flexibility is required for this family - some overnights, infrequent travel (every 2-3 months), and additional travel once or twice a year is expected.
This role is a partnership with the parents and other household team (nanny, house manager, and housekeeper) - some flexibility is desired to support the family as needed outside of regular assigned hours (ie. travel weeks, switching schedules, etc). Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
Location: Carroll Gardens, NY
Start date: February, 2026.
Days/times: Guaranteed 40 hours/week (minimum) Monday to Friday : general hours to land between 11:30am - 8pm, with flexibility as needed for additional hours. Candidates should expect additional hours as needed to support the family (travel, late nights, etc). The family does employ a second full time nanny.
Children: Two young children: toddler boy (b. 2023) and infant girl (b. 2025).
Conditions: $35 - $40 per hour* (paid as a W2 employee + all hours over 40hr paid at x1.5 rate) plus unlimited monthly metrocard, sick/personal days, public holidays and at least two weeks paid leave per year. Family open to providing healthcare stipend for the perfect candidate.
