Job Description:

The Role: Pharmacy Technician

The Opportunity:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team at the Thayer Center for Health.

This position is part-time, with a 20-hour per week schedule.

The Work:

  • Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
  • Prepares compounds within scope of practice.
  • Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy and other service departments.
  • Performs quality assurance rounds to assure regulatory compliance.

You Have:

  • Current State of Maine Pharmacy Tech or Pharmacy Intern license, or be eligible for required pharmacy technician licensure (required)
  • Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program preferred.
  • Current Pharmacy Technician Board Certification (CPhT), preferred
  • At least 1 year of pharmacy experience in a hospital setting and/or retail setting, strongly preferred
  • Extensive customer service experience
  • Excellent and demonstrated communication skills 
  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail 
  • Computer proficiency
