Job Description Summary:

The Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care (HACCC) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support our patients and care team. As a CNA, you’ll provide direct patient care and play a vital role in creating a supportive, healing environment for individuals and families navigating their cancer journey.

Job Description:

Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Location: Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care, Augusta
Schedule: Per diem

Shift:  Days (M-F schedule)

What You'll Do:

  • Performs basic patient care activities within the scope of practice. Assists patients with meeting their emotional, physical, and spiritual needs.
  • Greets patients and visitors. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls. Calls codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested.
  • Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, menta,l and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
  • Assists with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly.

What We're Looking For:

  • Active CNA certification in the State of Maine.
  • Prior experience in oncology or an acute care setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Compassion, patience, and commitment to excellence in patient care.
  • Basic Life Support Provider preferred.
