Job Summary:
Coordinates the scheduling of patient infusions, procedures, and diagnostics for assigned areas within the organization. Ensures that patients are scheduled appropriately and that all necessary clinical and administrative steps are completed prior to their visit.Job Description:
• Verifies appropriate clinical indications and documentation as required by department protocols.
• Communicates with medical and clinical staff to confirm indications, facility and staff availability, and preauthorization's at the time of scheduling.
• Contacts patients and/or their families, as permitted, to provide pre-procedure instructions, confirm appointments, and address questions or changes.
• Works collaboratively with team members to maintain scheduling accuracy and provide a positive patient experience.
