About this role

Your Contribution
The Regional HSE (East Asia) is responsible for defining, implementing, and continuously improving the Health, Safety, and Environmental strategy across the East Asia region (Japan, Thailand, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines and Australia).
This role ensures compliance with local and international HSE regulations, drives a proactive safety culture, and supports operational excellence aligned with both Corporate (CO) standards and regional legal frameworks.

 

 

Your Experience and Qualification

  • Minimum 10 years of HSE experience in manufacturing, ideally within the automotive or heavy industry.
  • Minimum 5 years in a regional or multi-country leadership role in Asia.
  • Proven track record in implementing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Experience managing multicultural teams and navigating complex regulatory environments.
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent recognized HSE qualification.
  • ISO 14001 / 45001 Lead Auditor Certification.
  • First Aid and Fire Safety certification (valid within at least one operating country).
  • Strong understanding of regional HSE laws (Japan, Thailand, Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Australia).
  • Ability to lead cross-border projects and influence without authority.
  • Business-level English proficiency (German or local language skills are advantageous).
  • Excellent communication and intercultural leadership skills.
  • Analytical and strategic thinker with hands-on operational orientation.
