Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
1. Design of transmission components like Gear, Shafts, Synchro sizing and Bearings selection
2. Good understanding on Layout of Transmission & Axle Architecture
3. Sound knowledge of transmission.
4. Strong in developing Concepts for technical feasibiity & evaluation of new Projects and to support team in finalising the design
5. Calculations of Gears, Shafts, Synchroniser selections, Bearing selection & Optimisation, Oil Seal selection.
6. Knowledge on GD&T
7. Knowledge on DFMEA, DFA & DFS
8. Knowledge on shifting system, its components & interaction with Gearbox
9. Able to perform System level & Components calculations in ROMAX and KissSoft
10. Preparation of 2D Part drawings, 3D and assembly drawings in NX (Unigraphcs)
11. Working knowledge on Tolerance Stack-Up analysis
12. Calculations of shifting system / Components design and synchronisers
13. Knowledge on Manufacturing Processes
14. Systematic failure resolving techiques for resolving Failures (Lab, Field)
15. Adherence to project timelines for drawing release
Experience
4 to 8 years

Tractor / Commercial Vehicles / Off-Highway / Industrial Gearbox
Qualifications
BE/B.Tech - Mechanical / Automobile
ME/M.Tech - Mechanical / Automobile
General Requirements
General:
Strong in Engineering Fundamentals
Qucik Learner & able to independantly complete tasks with minimal supervision
Team player & capable of collaborating with Cross functional departments & functions. Problem solving, Root Cause Anlaysis & troubleshoot problems
Functional Competencies:
1. Design of Gear, Shafts, Synchro & Bearing calculations.
2. Understanding of Shifting system interaction on Gearbox
3. To have in-depth knowledge in GD & T, DFMEA, DFA & DFS.
4. Strong in Tolerance Stack-up analysis.
5. Software proefficiency of KissSoft, Romax - For System Analysis.
6. Software Proficiency of AutoCAD, NX & TeamCentre - For 2d,3d
Knowledge in Noise anlaysis for Whine/Rattle in Gearbox is added advantage

What you'll do
- The Sr. Engineer - Transaxle will be responsible for designing transmission components and ensuring the technical feasibility of new projects. They will also perform calculations related to gears, shafts, and bearings, and prepare detailed drawings.
