Role Summary

The role of Manager - Minituber Production at Mahindra HZPC Pvt. Ltd. is a strategic leadership position focused on overseeing and delivering high-quality production of minitubers, ensuring they meet budget, quality, and cost standards. This position plays a critical role in advancing the company’s agricultural innovation and operational excellence by managing minituber production processes and spearheading continuous improvements. The Manager will also be responsible for developing a skilled team, maintaining regulatory compliance, and enhancing customer satisfaction through dedicated after-sales service.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure delivery of budgeted minituber quantities while maintaining strict adherence to cost efficiency and quality standards.
• Develop and update operational benchmarks and working methods to optimize minituber production processes.
• Implement and drive a robust quality assurance system within the minituber production to uphold high standards.
• Provide comprehensive after-sales support to minituber customers, fostering strong relationships and satisfaction.
• Build and develop a sustainable team focused on long-term operational success within minituber production.
• Manage the tissue culture laboratory independently after initial guidance, maintaining quality compliance throughout.
• Ensure that the minituber production facility remains continuously approved by NCSTCP and meets all regulatory requirements.
• Oversee production of export-quality minitubers adhering to international export protocols and standards.
• Identify training needs for team members and ensure effective implementation and follow-up to enhance skills and performance.
• Establish and nurture connections with the national and international scientific community to remain at the forefront of agricultural innovation.
• Drive implementation of all Mahindra HZPC policies within the facility to align with corporate values and goals.
• Develop strategic roadmaps to position the minituber facility for future growth and industry leadership.
• Coordinate closely with various departments across the company to ensure seamless operational integration and support.
• Manage all legal and financial compliance aspects related to facility operations, ensuring full adherence to regulatory standards.
• Lead research and development initiatives aimed at increasing productivity and advancing production technologies.
• Demonstrate ability to manage multi-location production facilities effectively if required.

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 10 to 13 years of progressive experience in sectors such as seed potato production, tissue culture, hydroponic systems, or protected cultivation.
• Ph.D. in Plant Science or related agricultural disciplines is essential to provide expert knowledge and leadership in the role.
