Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Develop and implement strategic inventory management plans, ensuring alignment with sales projections and organizational goals.
  • Consult and provide expert guidance on managing complex and multi-site inventory operations, optimizing stock levels and distribution methods.

  • Supervise complex supply chain operations, including coordination of multiple suppliers, distribution centres, and sales channels within high-volume production environments.
  • Drive adoption of best-in-class innovations and industry-leading practices to enhance global supply chain security, reliability, and responsiveness.
  • Lead the development of Lean and Agile Supply Chain processes, integrating demand forecasting, order management, production, inventory, and scheduling to meet business objectives efficiently.
  • Innovate end-to-end supply chain systems and processes, including designing control towers to provide comprehensive visibility and performance management.
  • Spearhead digitisation projects aimed at transforming supply chain workflows and enhancing operational agility and transparency.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to secure commitment and align execution with strategic supply chain decisions.
  • Delegate responsibilities to empower teams, fostering sound decision-making and resilience in supply chain operations.
  • Design and deliver training programs that promote best practices in order management, production planning, and scheduling software utilization.

Experience

We are seeking professionals with a substantial background of 10 to 15 years in supply chain management, inventory control, or related fields. Experience should encompass managing multi-site inventory operations within large-scale, high-volume production or distribution environments. Prior exposure to designing and implementing Lean and Agile processes is highly desirable.

Candidates should have demonstrated expertise in business analytics, risk evaluation, and the application of predictive analytics in supply chain contexts. Proven experience leading cross-functional teams, mentoring colleagues, and overseeing complex projects, particularly in digitisation and technology integration within supply chain functions, is important.

Experience working with advanced software solutions for order management, production planning, schedule management, and supply chain control towers will be advantageous. Familiarity with industry trends, technology advancements, and benchmarking best practices is essential to excel in this role.

Industry Preferred

Preferred candidates will have industry experience within automotive manufacturing, heavy equipment production, or similar high-volume, complex supply chain environments. Experience within the agricultural equipment sector, particularly in divisions related to farm machinery, is highly valued due to the specialised nature of the products and supply chains involved.

Prior work in organisations that emphasise Lean principles, Agile methodologies, and digital transformation of supply chains will be considered an asset. Exposure to global supply chain networks supporting multiple suppliers, distribution channels, and markets is beneficial.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Advanced certifications in supply chain, project management, or analytics (e.g., APICS CPIM, PMP, Six Sigma) will be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities to effectively lead teams and engage with diverse business units.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on mentoring and talent development within supply chain contexts.
  • Proficiency in supply chain technology platforms and software tools for inventory, order, production, and schedule management.
