About this role

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  1. Should have experience on Power pack/Power electronics/Electrical components (Ex- Wire harness, BMS, Cell, Relays & diodes, PCB) and its process validation
  2. Oversee the end-to-end manufacturing process of battery cells, including assembly, testing, and quality control.
  3. Optimize production lines to improve yield, reduce cycle time, and enhance productivity.
  1. Implement and monitor cell formation, aging, and testing protocols to ensure product consistency.
  2. Manage the design and production of battery enclosures/boxes, ensuring they meet mechanical and thermal performance requirements.
  1. Ensure the integration of battery cells into battery boxes is efficient, safe, and compliant with industry standards.
  2. Conduct performance testing for battery boxes and cells, ensuring they meet design and safety criteria.
  3. Lead troubleshooting efforts for production issues related to materials, equipment, or processes.
  4. Work closely with design teams to validate product designs for manufacturability and scalability.
  5. Experience working in launch of new model / new variants. 
  6. Familiarity with MPPAP, FMEA, Control plan, MSA & SPC.
  7. Should have experience with Overall Process audit, Product audit, Layer audit in plant.
  8. Experience in Quality assurance function in assembly plant.
  9. Ensure in-process quality assurance checks as per the procedure laid down in respective SOPs, Process sheets
  10. Daily internal rejection monitoring & initiate appropriate corrective measures.
  11. Co-ordinate with field/application team to address customer complaint resolution. (Zero and 1 -MIS)
  12. Adhere to laid down QMS, its effective implementation and facilitate continuous improvement in all manufacturing area activities, and effective resolution of routine quality issues.
  13. Monitoring and ensuring adherence to processes with SOP/SOS by periodic process audit, SPC and MSA studies.
  14. Should have Knowledge in SPC & Structured problem-solving methodologies - 8D, QC story, read & understand engineering drawings & rejection analysis.
  15. Exposure to Quality management systems like ISO 9001, TS 16949 standards & Formats
  16. Work in coordination with CFT to ensure assembly quality requirements are met
  17. Ensure adherence to assembly processes as per drawing and SOP to deliver defect-free products.
  18. Identify process gaps, and concerns, and execute corrective measures along with CFT.
  19. Responsible for Engineering Change Management Process. 
  20. Establishing Initial Process Capability (Pp/Ppk) and monitoring ongoing Process Capability (Cp/Cpk).
