Cualificaciones

The Procurement Category Manager is responsible for developing and executing category strategies to optimize cost, quality, and supplier performance. This role ensures alignment with business objectives, manages supplier relationships, and drives continuous improvement across assigned categories.

The role ensures procurement compliance, process efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction, while contributing to the execution of sourcing strategies and continuous improvement initiatives. You will play a key role in standardizing procurement processes, enhancing ERP utilization, and acting as the primary escalation point for supplier or transactional issues. This position requires strong leadership, operational discipline, and the ability to collaborate in a dynamic, multi-country environment.

 

  • Category Strategy Development
    • Define and implement category strategies aligned with organizational goals.
    • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Supplier Management
    • Develop strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure performance and foster innovation.
    • Identify and introduce innovative solutions, technologies, and processes that deliver competitive advantage.
    • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to drive product and process improvements.
  • Cost optimization
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing and process improvements.
    • Monitor and report on category performance against KPIs.
  • Risk Management
    • Assess and mitigate supply chain risks within assigned categories.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
    • Support procurement transformation initiatives and digital tools adoption.
  • Innovation and Co-creation
    • Create an innovation environment with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Collaborate on co-creation projects to contribute to the future of the company.

Responsabilidades

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of procurement experience.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Fluent in English (Mandatory); proficiency in any additional European language (German, French, Spanish) is a plus.
  • Strong communication, prioritization, and issue-resolution skills.
  • Comfortable working in a multi-country, matrix organization with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of procurement systems and best practices.

This position is based in our Barcelona office. The role follows a hybrid model with four in-office days and one flexible day per week. Occasional travel to Suppliers, Fairs and European sites may be required.
