Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is bidding on a high level government satellite communications support program and recruiting for a Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) SME who will provide overall support to radio frequency (RF) systems in SATCOM, terrestrial, and wireless communications environments

 

Performance location is Colorado Springs

 

ALL positions concerning this effort are contingent upon contract award and employment with MAG Aerospace is not guaranteed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Perform identifying, analyzing, and assisting with resolution of RF interference, signal degradation, link instability, or performance anomalies. 
  • Provide support to RF concepts such as uplink/downlink operations, spectrum usage, modulation, polarization, and link margins. 
  • Providing specialized technical assistance, performance analysis, and informal training in support of the Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) constellation and the Global Satellite Communications Configuration Element (GSCCE)
  • Advising on satellite payload operations, GSCCE configuration, and anomaly resolution; analyzing telemetry, transponder usage, and throughput metrics
  • Developing quick-reference materials and scenario-based training for operators and sustainment personnel
  • Synthesizing complex data into actionable insights, enhance system readiness, and support mission assurance across DoD SATCOM environments

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

 

Experience:

Minimum 4 years supporting radio frequency (RF) systems in SATCOM, terrestrial, or wireless communications environment. 

 

Education:

High School

 

Certifications:

Meet applicable DoD 8140 workforce qualifications if assigned duties fall within an identified Cyber workforce role requiring certification. 

 

Clearance:

Top Secret

US Citizenship required

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $80500 to $149500 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
