Maintenance SuperIntendent - Tropicana
Macmahon are currently seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to join the Tropicana Gold Mine team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Superintendent will lead and coordinate all maintenance operations across our site. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and reliable functioning of equipment with the prime objective of ensuring that equipment availability targets are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure production targets are met, and plant availability is maintained
- Supervising day-to-day maintenance and project execution on site
- Coordinating contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Ensuring safety, environmental, and statutory compliance
- Conducting field risk assessments and supporting hazard controls
- Monitoring quality, timelines, and contractor performance
- Supporting procurement of materials, plant, and equipment
About you:
- Mechanical Trade qualification (Cert III Mechanical, Electrical or Fabrication)
- Extensive mining maintenance experience of 10+ years
- Demonstrated strong leadership, supervisory and crew coordination skills and proven ability to coach and develop teams
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure in a production environment
- Hold or be willing to obtain statutory supervisor certificate
- SAP Maintenance Management System experience highly regarded
- Demonstrated diagnostics and trouble shooting ability
- Computer literacy and sound numeracy/literacy skills
