Creative Resource Manager

<p>We are seeking an organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented <strong>Creative Resource Manager</strong> to oversee staffing, workflow, and resource allocation across our creative department. In this role, you will act as the central hub between creative, account, project management, and production teams—ensuring the right talent is assigned to the right work at the right time.</p><div id="56$309493-input"><div><div id="56$309493-input-e45bf90d2b974851-input"><div><p></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Resource Management &amp; Scheduling</strong></p><ul><li><p style="text-align:left;">Oversee day-to-day and long-range resourcing for creative teams (design, art direction, copy, motion, UX, creative technology, etc.).</p></li><li><p style="text-align:left;">Maintain and update weekly staffing plans, ensuring accurate visibility into workloads and upcoming project needs.</p></li><li><p style="text-align:left;">Assign creative resources based on skill set, availability, and project priority in partnership with project managers and creative leads.</p></li><li><p style="text-align:left;">Balance workloads to prevent burnout while maximizing utilization and efficiency across the department.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Forecasting &amp; Capacity Planning</strong></p><ul><li><p style="text-align:left;">Collaborate with department leads and project management to forecast upcoming resource needs based on pipeline, scopes, and budgets.</p></li><li><p style="text-align:left;">Identify resourcing gaps and recommend freelance, contract, or full-time staffing solutions.</p></li><li><p style="text-align:left;">Maintain a strong network of freelance creative talent (designers, writers, editors, motion artists, etc.).</p></li></ul><p><strong>Process &amp; Workflow Optimization</strong></p><ul><li><p style="text-align:left;">Partner with creative leadership to refine workflow, resourcing, and communication processes.</p></li><li><p style="text-align:left;">Ensure project briefs, timelines, and expectations are clearly communicated to creatives.</p></li><li><p style="text-align:left;">Improve systems for tracking workloads, resource planning, and utilization reporting.</p></li><li><p style="text-align:left;">Support onboarding of new creative employees and freelancers, ensuring smooth integration into agency processes.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Cross Team Collaboration</strong></p><ul><li><p style="text-align:left;">Serve as the connective tissue between Creative, Project Management, Account, Strategy, and Production teams.</p></li><li><p style="text-align:left;">Facilitate weekly resource meetings and status reviews.</p></li><li><p style="text-align:left;">Communicate changes in staffing, scope, and priorities with clarity and diplomacy.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Reporting &amp; Administration</strong></p><ul><li><p style="text-align:left;">Track utilization metrics and report trends to leadership.</p></li><li><p style="text-align:left;">Manage freelancer contracts, onboarding, and time tracking.</p></li><li><p style="text-align:left;">Maintain accurate documentation of resourcing decisions and project assignments.</p></li></ul><p><strong>What you bring:</strong></p><ul><li><p style="text-align:left;">4–7 years of experience in resource management, project management, operations, or traffic management in a creative or advertising agency environment.</p></li><li><p style="text-align:left;">Strong understanding of how creative teams work (design, copy, art direction, production, etc.).</p></li><li><p style="text-align:left;">Experience using resource or project management tools (Smartsheets preferred)</p></li><li><p style="text-align:left;">Excellent communication and <span>relationship-building</span> skills—able to balance creative needs with agency requirements.</p></li><li><p style="text-align:left;">Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities.</p></li><li><p style="text-align:left;">Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.</p></li><li><p style="text-align:left;">Experience with Workday is a strong plus</p></li></ul><p style="text-align:left;"><strong>WHAT YOU'LL GET:</strong></p><p>We offer a competitive salary, a comprehensive employer subsidized benefits package which includes group medical, dental and vision coverage, Health Savings Account, 401k retirement plan with annual company match, employee wellness, commuter benefits and cellular phone allowance, generous paid time off and employee volunteer day to encourage social responsibility giving time to the non-profit, community service or charity of your choice. Salary is dependent on experience but ranges from: $80,000– $100,000.
