Your Opportunity
We’re supporting a fast-growing fintech building modern payment and money management experiences for individuals and small businesses. The product is evolving from a focused financial use case into a broader, multi-surface platform designed to help people get more value, clarity, and confidence from their everyday financial decisions.
This role sits at the center of the product experience, with a particular focus on launching and shaping a flagship mobile app while expanding into deeper small business workflows. You’ll work across consumer and SMB use cases, balancing usability, visual craft, and trust in a domain where clarity and precision matter.
As a senior individual contributor, you’ll take meaningful ownership over core product surfaces, help define the design language as the platform scales, and partner closely with product and engineering to turn complex financial concepts into intuitive, well-crafted experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end product design: Play a key role in the design of core mobile & web experiences from early exploration through production-ready UI and interaction design
- User experience simplification: Translate complex financial and payments concepts into simple, intuitive, and trustworthy user journeys
- Visual quality and craft: Set and maintain a high bar for visual design, interaction quality, and overall polish across the product
- Design systems: Help establish and evolve a cohesive design system and visual language across mobile and web surfaces
- Cross-functional collaboration: Partner closely with product managers and engineers from problem definition through execution and iteration
- Detail-oriented execution: Sweat hierarchy, spacing, motion, copy, and edge cases to deliver refined, cohesive experiences
- Engagement moments: Design moments of engagement and delight that reinforce progress, trust, and a sense of reward without adding friction
Your Know-How
- Experience designing and shipping high-quality mobile applications
- Strong visual design skills with a clear point of view on effective, modern UI
- Demonstrated ability to simplify complex workflows into intuitive product experiences
- Comfort owning ambiguous problem spaces and making independent design decisions
- Experience collaborating closely with product and engineering in fast-paced environments
- A portfolio that demonstrates strong product thinking alongside high-craft, polished UI

- You’ve worked on products serving both consumer and small business audiences
- Your background includes contributing to or scaling a design system across platforms
- You’ve helped launch a new mobile product or major product surface from the ground up
Compensation
The base pay range for this role is CA$120,000 – CA$170,000 per year.
