Your new role – why is this a great opportunity?

The purpose of the Entity Controller role is to provide expert, operational, and oversight support to strategic initiatives within Global Business Services, with a particular focus on the legal and accounting closure of entities under the COM Project. The role is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and controlling activities related to the entity closure process to ensure full compliance with legal, regulatory, and financial reporting requirements.

 

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

 

  • Entity Closure Execution
    Ensure all required legal, financial, and administrative steps for entity closures are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with applicable laws, accounting standards, and corporate policies including plan of Project Team.
  • Collaboration with External and Internal Experts
    Maintain close cooperation with liquidators, legal advisors, finance experts, and relevant internal stakeholders involved in the entity closure process.
  • Central Point of Contact
    Act as the primary liaison between GBS teams, external liquidators, and HQ workstreams to ensure aligned priorities, clear communication, and coordinated execution of closure activities for assigned company codes.
  • Monitoring & Control Activities
    Track progress of entity closure tasks, monitor risk areas, identify potential issues early, and escalate concerns to leadership or relevant stakeholders as needed.
  • Compliance Oversight
    Support compliance efforts within GBS strategic projects by ensuring adherence to internal controls, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Process Evaluation & Improvement
    Assess operational compliance and recommend improvements to strengthen process robustness, mitigate risks, and enhance efficiency across the Project Team.
  • Information Flow & Reporting
    Ensure timely and accurate information sharing between stakeholders; prepare status updates, reports, and relevant documentation to support decision-making.
  • Risk Identification & Mitigation
    Identify compliance, legal, and financial risks related to strategic initiatives and entity closures and contribute to developing mitigation strategies.

 

 

Your future team

The team is part of the GBS Scope Harmonization Department, responsible for delivering transformational changes across Lundbeck, including the legal and operational closure of entities as well as initiatives supporting the expansion of Global Business Services. You will join a small, close-knit team of experts with broad accounting and legal knowledge, complemented by insight into related areas such as HR and IT.

What you bring to the team 

  • Solid experience in finance, accounting, or compliance within an international or GBS environment
  • Proven ability to manage complex activities independently and navigate ambiguity
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders globally
  • Curious and accountable problem-solver who thrives in complexity, seeks knowledge proactively, and turns uncertainty into clear, responsible actions.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

  • Minimum 8+ years of overall combined GBS-based experience (leadership experience is an advantage)
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (advanced Excel, Power Point skills)
  • English at C1
  • Project Management knowledge (advantage)
  • Knowledge of SAP (advantage)
  • Participation in Transformative projects is an advantage

 

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES

  • Master’s degree
  • Qualification related with role’s objectives is an advantage
