Summary:

Lundbeck US is seeking a dynamic, motivated, and highly experienced individual for the position of Associate Director, Data Products Lead. This individual will have primary responsibility to lead data products that are aligned with business goals driven by portfolio strategic priorities. This individual will also be responsible for identifying and leverage opportunities to utilize data for innovation and growth across Lundbeck US. He will own the strategy, architecture, and execution of enterprise data products with a strong focus on leveraging Agentic AI to automate, optimize, and scale.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Implement and Support enterprise data products aligned to the brand and portfolio strategic priorities and seamlessly integrate data strategy into the overall business strategy.
  • Define and own the enterprise data products strategy, including domains, governance, operating model, and technology stack.
  • Lead design, implementation, and support of Master data system
  • Manage the data products architecture, including:
    • Metadata platforms
    • Data quality and observability tools
    • Integration with cloud data platforms and APIs
  • Evaluate and select vendors, tools, and platforms supporting AI-driven data products
  • Establish strong data governance frameworks aligned with regulatory, privacy, and security requirements
  • Ensure AI agents in data products operate with:
    • Explainability and transparency
    • Auditability and traceability
    • Role-based access and policy enforcement
    • Define controls, KPIs, and guardrails for Agentic AI usage in data products
  • Partner with other teams to design, implement, and optimize data architectures to meet business needs and priorities.
  • Manage a robust data quality management system to ensure data integrity and single source of truth across all data products
  • Partner with compliance team to ensure data privacy regulations are followed according to industry standards.
  • Partner with multiple functional teams like brand, analytics, patient services, etc. to define new and changes in business rules/processes.
  • Ensure effective communication of data-related issues, challenges, and initiatives across the organization.
  • Perform Data Analysis, and Data Gap Findings
  • Generate Insights for business teams
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement and encourage knowledge sharing and professional development within the team.
  • Supervision of vendor resources on their day-to-day tasks

 

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in quantitative focused positions demonstrating continuous career progression in strategy and implementation roles.
  • 5+ years experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industries or at a consulting firm supporting pharma or biotech industries 
  • Experience of working on 3rd Party Demand/Sales/Claims datasets like IQVIA Xponent Plantrak, IQVIA DDD, IQVIA NPA, IQVIA NSP, IQVIA LAAD, IQVIA SOB etc.
  • Experience of working on Internal Commercial datasets like Roster, Alignment, Sales Hierarchy, Call Plan, Segmentation, Forecasts, etc.
  • Experience of working on CRM data like Veeva Calls, Veeva CLM, Veeva Events, etc.
  • Experience of working on business processes like Inclusion/Exclusion, Factorization, etc.
  • Experience in performing Data Analysis, and writing SQL Data Queries
  • Demonstrated project management skills in a team setting, especially in situations where team members are not direct reports.
  • Deep expertise in pharma market data, vendors, technology platforms and best practices
  • Proficient in various patient-level data as well as other syndicated patient data sources
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking, with ability to connect the dots to understand all the interdependency and big picture and translate strategy and analysis to tactical, executable solutions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrated through presentation and with the ability to simplify complex matters and communicate with all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster enterprise-wide innovation and transformation through thought leadership, exemplary written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead collaboration without direct authority and navigate in ambiguous environment and agility to adapt changing priorities of the organization.
  • Able to identify best practices and contribute to continuous improvement.

 

 

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Masters degree in quantitative field
  • Experience of working on patient related datasets like Patient HUBs, Specialty Pharmacy, Specialty Distributor, Infusion Networks, Specialty Aggregators, etc.
  • Experience of working on IC related datasets like Credited Sales, Goal Setting, etc.
  • Experience in generating customer insights
  • Strong preference for candidate to based in Deerfield, IL office

 

Travel:

  • Willingness/Ability to travel up to 20% domestically. International travel may be required.
  • If based remotely, additional travel will be required to Deerfield, IL to meet the needs of the role and the business

 

The range displayed is a national range, and if selected for this role, may vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s geographical location, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Salary Pay Range: $170,000 - $190,000 and eligibility for a 20% bonus target based on company and individual performance, and eligibility to participate in the company’s long-term incentive plan.
