Job Purpose
Responsible for generating enquiries, tracking opportunities and Closing the Order. This position requires travelling, locating, developing, customers in this Territory. Understanding the Customer / Utility requirements and submitting an appropriate offer and closing the orders. Building a good CP/ Customer Relationship. Achieving an Sales and Order Intake Budget for this Territory.
Job Context
We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Sr Sales Engineer with Min 8+Years of Experience in Sales & Marketing. He/ She will be act as a front end sales engineer and always thrive to achieve the given target. He should be a go-getter and work Pro-actively on upcoming Tenders/Opportunities. Periodically achieving the sale and Collection is in the scope of this person.
Job Dimensions
The role will be based at Chennai, Tamil Nadu India and responsible for growing business in Tamil Nadu & Kerala. This role shall report directly to Zonal Manager south, LEI. Incumbent should have experience in the field of Medium voltage Switchgear ( i.e RMU and RTU’S).
Key Accountabilities
These will include:
• Good Product Knowledge of Switchgear, MV , LV and RTU’S..
• Preferably working from a competitive or similar product manufacturer.
• Good Knowledge of Computers and should know Word , Excel and Power Point and Sales tools like D365 ETC..
• Must have a two or four-wheeler.
• Flexibility for working in Hybrid.
• Must Know most of the Electrical contractors who are working on turnkey Projects.
• Should be familiar with all the State Distribution Utilities Requirements.
• Travel as and when required, to meet the client.
• Should be able to generate Enquiries and close the Order.
• Should be able to meet a budge of around 400 MINR from two states (i.e. Tamil Nadu & Kerala).
• Collect Payment from CP’S as per the agreed payment terms.
• Prepare an budget for this Teratory by capturing (i.e. Total Available Market, Offered and Non-Offered Market).
• Respond for Maintaining good and healthy Customer Relationship.
• Good Relationship with CP’s in this region and Motivate them to achieve the given targets.
• Track you Sales / Revenue Target and work towards achieving. Getting DI and payment collection is the responsibility of a salesperson.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical engineering.
• Experience in sales, marketing or related field.
• Min 8+Years of Experience in Sales & Marketing
• Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
• Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Should have a high level of self-motivation and the ability to deliver results.
• Strong understanding of order management processes and best practices, including order booking, pricing, shipment tracking, and customer communication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills to manage multiple orders simultaneously.
• Good problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work in team, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
