Job Purpose
The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading all purchasing and sourcing activities for Lucy Electric Thailand’s manufacturing operations, ensuring cost-effective procurement of materials, components, and services. The role manages supplier performance, negotiates strategic contracts, ensures compliance with global and local procurement policies, and supports continuous improvement across our end-to-end supply chain. This position is critical for ensuring uninterrupted production while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery excellence.
Job Context
The Procurement Manager plays a strategic role by managing supplier relationships, supporting production planning, ensuring compliance with global sourcing standards, and collaborating with engineering, planning, logistics, and quality teams. The position combines operational procurement management with strategic sourcing responsibilities.
Job Dimensions
• The role is directly related to those activities carried out by LST in Thailand and Lucy’s interactions with subsidiary companies around the world.
• The role is based in Thailand although it may entail travelling abroad to other Lucy sites as appropriate.
• Undertake any reasonable hours necessary to carry out the role effectively.
Key Accountabilities
These will include:
• Develop new components (R&D support), optimal product costing for future contracts, achieve cost reduction through value engineering & budgeting
• Set up and drive improvement action plans throughout the department based on key budget factors
• Out-sourcing & re-sourcing of components required for all product at optimal costs
• Ensure cost competitiveness of purchased components to maintain pre-fixed standard costs & projected MPV
• Maintain / improve upon business relationship with suppliers
• Provide inputs to business goals and strategy development.
• Set up and drive improvement action plans throughout the department based on key budget factors
• Ensure procurement strategies are developed and aligned with world-wide sourcing strategies.
• Develop competence in usage of ERP system (AX) in the purchasing team
• Succession planning and team building
• Lead local supplier development workshops
• Supplier development to augment timely deliveries & quality of components supplied.
• Collaborate with global purchasing for supplier under Global Purchasing team
•Collaborate with LVA team and lead team for negotiate with local supplier to apply EEI
Secondary activities / tasks
• Achieving defined Key Performance indicators for the above functions as decided by the management.
• To be an active part of operational team to manage the above tasks on daily basis.
• Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required / instructed in order to maintain and / or improve efficiency, quality and service.
• Support other projects external to Purchasing such a Business Development, Acquisition or knowledge transfer activities.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Sourcing, Purchasing or Procurement manager in manufacturing company
• ERP system, MS office tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to develop and deploy creative solutions to complex problems
• High level of business acumen, with the ability to lead large scale enterprise transformation activity Experience of supplier management / outsourcing in both European and Global markets. Experience of the development of new suppliers worldwide, and the development of competitive partnership type relationships with key suppliers that are globally competitive.
• Experience of the development of purchasing and supply strategy, including budget setting and cost reduction plans, supporting the improvement of external supply cost structures, and in-house manufacturing strategy.

Other requirements
• Bachelor or higher degree in preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, procurement or Industrial Engineering
