 Job Description




We are currently seeking a Power Electronics Prototype Build Technician The level will depend on the candidate’s experience. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.





The Role:




  • Demonstrate expertise in building complex mechanical assemblies.

  • Support manufacturing process and ensuring that all prototypes meet requirements.

  • Perform quality inspection on incoming parts, work in progress builds, and completed builds.

  • Critical thinking skills to work without instruction, manuals or workbooks.

  • Follow systematic processes, document potential issues and improvements, and contribute to enhancing team efficiency.

  • Work with engineering to fabricate and/or modify system and subsystem components.

  • Maintain a knowledge level of high voltage, low voltage, and general electric vehicle systems.

  • Rework PCBAs

  • Organize and maintain the Prototype lab space, equipment, and inventory utilizing 5S and EHS methods.

  • Be part of a team to develop amazing electronics products.



Qualifications:




  • Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and components.

  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and build equipment.

  • Ability to be flexible and responsive.

  • Hands-on mentality.

  • Good understanding on how to work safely and efficiently in a lab.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills required.



Preferred:




  • PCBA rework capabilities.

  • Over 3 years of experience as technician

  • Background in automotive Prototype Build Technician

  • Some experience on JIRA ticketing system (but not required)

Compensation Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
Base Pay Range (hourly)
$34$47 USD

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
