Senior Technical Product Owner, Marketing Automation

The Digital & Marketing Technology Team leads all aspects of the implementation and management of marketing technology solutions. Our current MarTech ecosystem includes platforms for marketing automation, customer data management, web analytics, tag management, CRM, and web personalization among others. This stack is continually evolving to incorporate cloud-based and AI-powered technologies that support key marketing functions such as planning, content creation, demand generation, lead management, and attribution analysis.

As a Senior Technical Product Owner, you will lead the definition of business requirements, coordinate technical implementation, handle platform releases, and provide second-level support for the Marketing Automation Platform (Eloqua). This role also involves driving integrations with other digital marketing tools and MarTech applications used throughout the marketing funnel and customer buying journey. The platform plays a critical role in lead generation, managing lead flow to Sales, and delivering insights on marketing attribution for leads and sales opportunities.

In this role, you will work closely with experienced developers and architects to help build, implement, and optimize Marketing Automation Platform based solutions. It's an ideal opportunity for individuals who are passionate about technology and eager to learn and apply technical solutions within the marketing technology landscape.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 7+ Years of architecting and implementing Marketing Automation solutions (e.g. Eloqua, Marketo, Creatio)
  • Expertise in core web technologies including XML, HTML5, CSS, client/server-side-scripting languages such as JavaScript and web services development using GraphQL/RESTful implementations
  • Proficiency in ETL processes and data integrations
  • Experience with real-time 1:1 personalization strategies and transactional use cases across multiple customer touchpoints
  • Product knowledge of customer acquisition and omnichannel engagement strategies
  • Ability to estimate effort for projects and define teams with skills required to deliver the projects
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies is essential
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to fix technical issues
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and collaborate with team members
  • Marketing Automation Platform related certifications is a plus
  • Broad knowledge of related Marketing Technology tools such as CDP (e.g. Adobe) and CRM (e.g. Salesforce) a plus

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering & Prioritization: Lead workshops and discovery sessions to gather business and technical requirements, translate them into user stories, and prioritize them in collaboration with multi-functional teams.
  • Data Governance & Quality Assurance: Ensure data integrity, compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR), and implement guidelines for data hygiene and governance across integrated systems.
  • Innovation & Emerging Tech: Know the latest with emerging trends in marketing technology, AI, and automation. Evaluate and propose new tools or features that could enhance the marketing stack.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor platform performance, campaign effectiveness, and system health. Recommend and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Platform Administration: Working as part of a team to handle the administration of the Marketing Automation Platform including data management, privacy compliance and maintenance activities to ensure the stability and reliability of the Eloqua platform.
  • Integration Support: Support the integration of Eloqua with CRM systems, content management systems, and other marketing technologies.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with Oracle and other technology vendors to stay informed about product updates, raise support tickets, and advocate for feature improvements.
  • Training & Enablement: Support onboarding and training of marketing users and technical teams on Eloqua capabilities, processes, and guidelines.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including marketers, designers, and analysts, to understand business requirements and translate them into tangible project and technical deliverables
  • Testing and Debugging: Conduct testing and debugging of Eloqua configurations and custom developments to ensure functionality, performance, and compliance with business requirements
  • Documentation: Assist in documenting technical specifications, system configurations, and development processes to maintain an extensive knowledge base for future reference.
  • Learning and Development: Proactively learn about industry trends through training sessions, online resources, and hands-on experience.
