Role 1 - INTERN, Cost Analytics
Location: Bangalore | Business Group: Finance & Accounting
About the Team
The Cost Analytics team supports analytical and data needs for accounting functions such as Margin & Cost, Vendor Funding, Imports, Trade Payables, and Transportation Accounting. The team leverages advanced tools and technology to deliver optimal solutions for business challenges.
Job Summary
The Senior Business Analyst partners with business leaders to deliver impactful, data-driven analytics for Lowe’s US accounting operations. This role involves designing reports, analyzing results, identifying insights, and driving automation to enhance business analytics using advanced tools and methods.
Responsibilities & Skills
- Partner with domain leaders to gather requirements, design wireframes, and propose solutions.
- Develop and present analytical insights using SQL, Power BI, and advanced visualization techniques.
- Automate processes and create solutions using ETL tools (Alteryx, Knime), Power Apps, Power Query, Python, and VBA.
- Work with relational databases (Teradata, IBM DB2, Hadoop, GCP) and optimize queries for performance.
- Maintain documentation and act as a consultant for technical feasibility.
- Advanced SQL (DDL/DML, Joins, Stored Procedures, Query Tuning) ,Strong MS Excel and Power BI expertise.
- Exposure to ETL tools (Alteryx, Knime), Big Data platforms, and cloud technologies.
- Python programming for automation and custom solutions; VBA for Excel automation.
- Analytical mindset with ability to create meaningful visualizations and solve complex business problems.
Experience
- 5+ years in Reporting & Analytics / Power BI Development.
