RECRUITMENT COORDINATOR
Reporting to the Recruitment & Guest Services Manager, the Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for the experience guests have when interacting with Residential Life on tours and at recruitment events. It is also the departmental liaison with the Office of Enrollment Management regarding recruiting. The Recruitment Coordinator leads and supervises recruitment and tour team of students and one graduate assistant.

The Recruitment Coordinator has an opportunity to bring the departmental and divisional voice to life through consistent communication in both virtual and in-person settings. In order to influence how LSU Housing is perceived by prospective students, families, campus partners, and visitors, the Recruitment Coordinator needs to audit and align our approach across all audiences.
Develop and mentor a dynamic student staff team In order to deliver on our commitment to quality, the Recruitment Coordinator must recruit, train, and supervise a team of students who can answer questions beyond just the scope of housing with a smile. The Recruitment Coordinator will play a critical role in building leadership capacity among student employees and modeling professional standards of excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruitment and Tours 70%
Coordinate and supervise the on-campus housing tour program including a housing tour center, permanent tour showrooms, satellite locations, daily campus tours with Enrollment Management, group tours and special tour requests in support of occupancy goals, guest experience expectations, enrollment goals, and athletic recruitment. Ensure an LSU-centric and seamless tour process from online registration to follow-up communication. Hire, schedule, train, and supervise student staff, student team leads, and one graduate assistant for the call center, tours, and administrative desks. Serve as the departmental representative at Enrollment Management recruitment meetings.
Events 20%
Plan logistics for prospective-student recruitment events and collaborate with the communications coordinator to staff events where current students are the primary audience. Present housing information on housing tours.
Administrative 10%
Serve as building coordinator for the Housing Tour Center in the Old President’s House. Coordinate the communication team’s golf cart schedule. Perform the duties and responsibilities of the manager in the managers absence. Coordinate departmental projects as requested. Attends administrative staff meetings. Assists in large office projects and other duties as assigned. his includes but is not limited to: efforts that support broad division/institution efforts including at least 40 hours per year spent helping divisional initiatives such as Move-In Day, Welcome Week, Family Weekend, Career Expo, Disability Services Finals Testing, other special projects etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required
Experience in customer service, hospitality, recruitment, or communication or related field.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/EXPECTATIONS:
The position requires independent action based on knowledge of departmental policy and views of Executive Director and Directors in communicating with students, parents, and other publics.
This is a full-time academic professional position that requires evening and weekend hours.
This position is considered operational essential and may be asked to work during an official closure but is otherwise not required to report to the physical campus during a closure and whose absence does not present a risk to the safety, resources, and well-being of the campus per FASOP HR-01.
As with all LSU employees, due to this position title and/or responsibilities, this position has an obligation to assist students in the acquisition of necessary services. Should a student appear in need of or seek assistance with issues of an emotional, behavioral, or mental health related matter they should be referred to the proper service within the Student Health Center. In situations where the student creates an impression that they are a danger to themselves or others, the advisor should immediately contact the Care Team, the Dean of Students or the appropriate law enforcement agency. The employee outside of those rights contained within FERPA should create no impression of client or patient confidentiality.
