We are actively looking for a driven QC Manager to lead our microbiology team in Verviers.

 

In this role you will provide supervision of the Quality control (QC) site support group in order to ensure the release of finished products and raw materials on time, ensure the training of technicians, the maintenance of equipment and the monitoring of quality systems according to Lonza quality standards.

What you will do:

  • Management of the organization of the QC department.
  • Supervision of the performance of analytical procedures.
  • Management of the training program of the QC department.
  • Management of data recording and trend analyzes.
  • Supervision of the QC release before the quality assurance department.
  • Supervision of the validation of analytical QC methods including validation protocols and study reports
  • Supervision of the out-of-specification results procedure
  • Implementation of corrective actions (CAPA) intended for the QC department.
  • Management of the change controls, preventive maintenance and calibration non-conformance reports
  • Monitoring subcontracting laboratories
  • Maintaining and monitoring of metrics.
  • Mentoring and development of knowledge base of staff, project managers and other key stakeholders within the site.
  • Development and implementation of departmental procedures, write and revise SOP
  • Monitoring of assigned cost center budgets

 

What we are looking for:

  • Master in chemistry, biology or micro biology or pharmacy or related field.
  • Laboratory experience and knowledge of QC methodologies (chemistry and microbiology). Asset if knowledge in Sterility Testing, GPT Testing, Mycoplasma Testing, Microbiological identification, Environmental Monitoring, Bioburden testing, Endotoxin testing, cleaning validation and growth promotion
  • Additional QA Experience would be beneficial
  • Leadership / Management experience
  • GMP and ISO knowledge
  • Demonstrated experience in management of complex tasks and projects
  • Knowledge of SAP and TrackWise system is an asset
  • Able to identify and respond to complex problems, interpret complex data, and draw valid conclusions
  • Fluent in English and French
