Compensation for this role will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and relevant knowledge.

What you will do

• Own and lead all site R&D activities and serve as the single point of accountability for the Bioenhancement Center of Excellence

• Define and execute the bioenhancement and drug delivery R&D strategy, ensuring alignment with business and global R&D priorities

• Provide senior R&D leadership at site level and represent the site on the global R&D Leadership Team

• Drive end‑to‑end pipeline ownership, including prioritization, governance milestones, resource allocation, and long‑term planning

• Develop, mentor, and inspire a high‑performing R&D organization, ensuring talent development, succession planning, and capability building

• Act as a scientific thought leader, engaging with customers, partners, and the broader scientific community through collaborations and forums

• Accelerate innovation and service creation, including digital and data‑driven solutions, in partnership with Commercial and Marketing teams

What we are looking for

• Advanced degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline preferred with extensive relevant industry experience

• Extensive experience leading bioenhancement, drug delivery, or bioconjugation R&D in a pharmaceutical or CDMO environment

• Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary R&D organizations and managing complex, global innovation pipelines

• Deep scientific expertise in bioenhancement technologies and pharmaceutical development, with strong understanding of R&D governance

• Demonstrated ability to align site‑level execution with global strategy while driving organizational transformation

• Strong business and entrepreneurial mindset, with experience in resource prioritization, risk management, and service development

• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at executive, customer, and scientific levels
