The Requirements Project Officer’s role is to write requirement statements and gather information for options appraisals for future projects. They administer the Property Review Programme Board, monitor the Property Review Programme budget (circa 1m pa), assist with monitoring the Estates Managed Budgets (circa £8m pa), raise purchase orders, manage minor projects and draft various other documents.
The incumbent will work with stakeholders to develop requirements and options appraisals. The post holder will also draft a variety of governance documents, such as committee reports, Delegated Powers Reports, Office Decision Papers and Project / Procurement Initiation Documents.
The post holder will actively manage and support minor estates projects and the associated relationships between the authority’s internal and external stakeholders and its strategic partners, to support the LBB Estates team’s objectives.
Key to this role will be the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders from both within and outside the council, to achieve effective integrated and best value outcomes for residents of Barnet. The Requirements Project Officer is expected to embrace and maintain the council’s values and behaviours through working collaboratively with peers, service colleagues, partners and stakeholders.
This role is hybrid, however there is the requirement to travel across the borough as and when required and there is a one day mandatory office day at Colindale Office at minimum as the business requires
