We’re hiring a PRN (Casual / As-Needed) Patient Access Representative to support one of our Kalispell-area clinics. This role is ideal for someone with a background in customer service, front office, administrative support, or hospitality who wants great work–life balance while making a real difference in patients’ experiences.

As a Patient Access Representative, you are the first impression. You’ll be the welcoming face and friendly voice patients see when they arrive—setting the tone for a positive, supportive visit from the very start. You’ll help patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for while keeping clinic operations running smoothly.

Schedule & Work Environment

  • PRN / Casual / As-needed

  • Monday–Friday (no nights, no weekends)

What You’ll Do

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally—making them feel welcomed and valued

  • Collect, verify, and update patient demographic and insurance information

  • Prioritize patient registrations based on acuity and clinic workflow

  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits using verification software

  • Explain out-of-pocket costs clearly and compassionately

  • Collect and process payments in accordance with policies

  • Identify self-pay patients and refer them to financial counseling as needed

  • Maintain working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans

  • Support clinic operations with general administrative assistance

  • Communicate opportunities for service improvements to leadership

  • Take pride in accuracy, productivity, and delivering exceptional customer service

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service preferred

  • Experience in healthcare registration, scheduling, insurance verification, billing, financial clearance, or medical assisting preferred

  • Comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office, and learning new software

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and critical-thinking skills

  • Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week.  Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.

PRN positions (also referred to as Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations, making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program. Additionally, they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours, offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs. Pay rates and scheduling practices may vary by department.
