About this role

Under clinical supervision, assists in the delivery of patient care and treatment according to policies and procedures and Logan Health MAU/UAP scope of practice. Provides administrative support and works collaboratively with Physicians, Advanced Practice Clinicians, RNs, LPNs and other department staff to meet the physical, psychosocial, education and spiritual needs of the patient and family. Supports the organization in fulfilling the mission, vision, and values of Logan Health.

Your Role in Action

As a Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA), you’ll play a key role in supporting endocrinology and infectious disease providers and nurses to deliver seamless, high-quality care. You will:

  • Prepare patients for visits by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and updating records.

  • Assist providers during exams and in-office procedures.

  • Perform specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and other diagnostic procedures as ordered.

  • Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient, timely visits.

  • Accurately document care in the electronic medical record (EMR).

  • Support scheduling, referrals, and follow-up communication with patients and families.

  • Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and ensure compliance with infection control standards.

  • Provide compassionate, professional communication and education to patients managing endocrine or infectious disease conditions.

What You Bring

Required:

  • Active Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in endocrinology, infectious disease, specialty, or hospital-based clinic setting.

  • Excellent clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient confidentiality and safety.

Schedule:

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week.  Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
