Marketing Program Specialist - 1 Year Contract (Contractor on 3rd Party Agency)

We’re looking for a Marketing Program Specialist to join our Control Brand & Loyalty team — a strategic and data-driven marketer who thrives in program management, reporting, and analytics. In this role, you’ll manage timelines, deliverables, and performance tracking for key President’s Choice®, PC Optimum®, and no name® marketing programs that strengthen brand equity, drive customer engagement, and build loyalty.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Control Brand Marketing, your primary focus will be on overseeing program timelines, data analysis, and campaign reporting to inform strategy and optimize performance. You will also provide tactical support for the execution of marketing campaigns across the portfolio, ensuring initiatives are delivered effectively and align with program objectives.

A foundational understanding of brand marketing will be essential to help you contribute to campaign execution and collaborate successfully with cross-functional partners.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Program Management: Supports the planning, coordination, and tracking of key marketing programs and initiatives. Partnering with Loblaw Agency Operations and Enablement Teams to manages timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional alignment to ensure programs are executed on schedule and in line with objectives.

  • Campaign Execution – Creative & Deployment: Coordinates with agency and cross-functional partners (e.g., Loblaw Media, Loblaw Digital, Legal, Regulatory Affairs, French Translation) to review and approve creative assets, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines. Manages campaign launches, monitors in-flight performance, and supports optimizations to ensure effective execution.

  • Digital Marketing: Partners with internal digital teams (e.g., Loblaw Digital) to optimize ecommerce initiatives and enhance the customer journey across digital channels, ensuring consistent brand representation and improved conversion performance.

  • Campaign Reporting: Supports the preparation and delivery of weekly program performance reports, consolidating key metrics and insights to inform decision-making and future campaign planning.

  • Research & Analytics: Collaborates with internal and external research partners to summarize post-campaign results, identify key insights, and propose actionable optimizations to strengthen future marketing performance.

  • Optimization, Innovation & Best Practices: Leads post-mortem reviews by compiling performance reports, facilitating discussions with cross-functional partners, and documenting best practices and learnings to drive continuous improvement.

KPIs & Outcomes:

  • Develop and maintain workback schedules, managing timelines to ensure marketing programs are delivered on time.

  • Successfully execute campaigns and projects, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and objectives.

  • Collaborate with digital teams to optimize ecommerce initiatives and enhance the customer journey.

  • Produce accurate, timely campaign reporting and insights to inform decision-making and optimizations.

  • Summarize post-campaign results and apply learnings to improve processes and future program performance.

What You Bring:

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.

  • 2–3 years of experience in marketing, ideally in brand, digital, analytics or campaign coordination roles. Knowledge of general marketing strategy and business principles.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Analytical mindset with experience interpreting campaign data, reporting on performance metrics, and identifying actionable insights.

  • Familiarity with digital marketing and ecommerce, including customer journey optimization and performance measurement.

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining brand integrity across all deliverables.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally and managing stakeholder feedback.
