About this opportunity

If you think all banks are the same, you’d be wrong. We’re an innovative, fast‑changing business shaping finance as a force for good—empowering our people to innovate, explore possibilities and grow with purpose.

As one of the UK’s largest vehicle‑funding companies (over 1.1m vehicles funded or leased by us), we’re using our size and influence to accelerate the transition to sustainable transport—now funding 1 in 8 Electric Vehicles on UK roads. Through Lex Autolease, Black Horse and Tusker, we offer one of the industry’s broadest propositions, massively increasing the accessibility and affordability of greener vehicles.

We’re hiring a Senior Product Owner into our Corporate Business to lead a clearly defined B2B/B2B2C product domain. You’ll partner with a Lab Owner, Engineering, Customer Journey Managers/Design and Data to deliver measurable outcomes that support our transport growth and sustainability ambitions. This is a hands‑on product role, ideal for an experienced Product Owner stepping up scope to be responsible for a business domain.

Our Product Owner roles are evolving to stay competitive and meet ever‑changing customer needs. The role is accountable for delivering outcomes beyond delivery, covering innovation, compliance and commercial performance. With an emphasis on:

  • Data‑driven product innovation & development: using sophisticated analytics and customer insights to inform product decisions; spotting trends, optimising features, and prioritising value items aligned to strategic outcomes; and driving continuous improvement through evidence‑based experimentation and performance tracking
  • Holistic risk management & regulatory compliance: taking end‑to‑end ownership of risk across design and delivery; integrating controls and governance proactively; and ensuring products align with applicable laws and frameworks (e.g., FCA Consumer Duty, where relevant), with customer treatment strategies embedded from vision through to execution.
  • Strengthened business & commercial insight: deepening understanding of market dynamics, competitor strategies and commercial levers; using financial modelling and reasons to support investment decisions; and aligning product strategy to commercial objectives to maximise value.

What you’ll do

  • Own a product domain within the Corporate portfolio: define outcomes, shape epics/features and maintain a transparent, prioritised backlog for a single cross‑functional team
  • Translate strategy into delivery: convert customer, commercial and risk insights into clear hypotheses, acceptance criteria and incremental releases; aligned to Platform/Lab goals
  • Data‑driven decision‑making: instrument journeys, define success metrics and run structured experiments (A/B, pilots) to validate value, reduce risk and optimise performance.
  • Risk, control & compliance by design: embed non‑functional, security and regulatory requirements into stories; evidence compliance with group policies and relevant regulations (e.g., FCA Consumer Duty where applicable); partner with Risk, Legal and Control functions.
  • Commercial Agility: size opportunities, model value and costs, create investment cases and manage trade‑offs to maximise customer and business outcomes.
  • Dependency management & delivery flow: coordinate across Engineering, Customer Journey Managers/Design, Data and Ops to unblock, sequence and land end‑to‑end journeys; champion continuous improvement to increase flow efficiency.
  • Value tracking & reporting: contribute to Platform and Lab performance reviews, benefits realisation and outcome reporting for your domain.

What we’re looking for

An enthusiastic, self‑motivated and entrepreneurial teammate with a curiosity to explore new insights and challenge the status quo. You’ll thrive in a collaborative environment, bringing energy and initiative to deliver meaningful outcomes for our customers. If you’re passionate about bringing value, eager to learn, and confident in navigating complexity, this role offers the perfect opportunity to make a real impact. You’ll demonstrate:

  • Customer centricity: you make decisions from customer outcomes and treatment standards, using research and data to shape priorities.
  • Product delivery excellence: proven experience writing epics/stories, prioritising by value/effort, and shipping iteratively with Scrum/Jira.
  • Analytics & experimentation: comfort with product analytics, funnel/experience metrics, dashboards and hypothesis‑led testing.
  • Risk & compliance literacy: familiarity with embedding controls, evidencing compliance and collaborating with Risk/Legal; awareness of FCA Consumer Duty where relevant to journeys.
  • Commercial acuity: able to frame problems in commercial terms, size opportunities and support investment decisions with modelling and cases.
  • Collaboration & communication: effective doer across Engineering, Design, Risk and senior stakeholders; clear, concise storytelling.
  • Domain (desirable): exposure to automotive/transport and/or building B2B/B2B2C propositions with partners and intermediaries.
