About the team

Our Coles Liquor team work across three leading brands (Liquorland, First Choice Liquor Market and Vintage Cellars), each with their own unique offering and customer base. With a network of more than 930 stores and ultra-convenient online sites, delivering on our commitment to provide accessible drink solutions for every occasion.

About the role

As a Senior Project Manager within our Liquor business, you’ll lead the end‑to‑end delivery of complex, cross‑functional projects that directly support our strategic priorities. You’ll bring structure, clarity and momentum to initiatives that span multiple teams, business units and stakeholder groups.

This role blends strategic thinking, operational excellence and strong people leadership to ensure successful delivery and adoption of change. This role will see you navigating ambiguity, simplifying complexity, and ensuring project outcomes connect seamlessly to broader business and strategic objectives.

You will also:

• Lead the planning and execution of major projects across Liquor, ensuring delivery aligns with business strategy, approved scope, budget and timelines
• Integrate strong project management discipline with effective change leadership to support teams as they navigate transformation
• Engage senior stakeholders across business units, building trusted relationships and influencing at all levels
• Oversee project governance, reporting, financial management, risk and issue management and supplier engagement
• Coach, lead and develop team members to drive high performance, collaboration and new ways of working
• Represent the project externally with vendors, consultants and partners, negotiating outcomes where needed

About you and your skills

You’re an experienced project leader with a track record of delivering large, complex initiatives in similarly dynamic environments. You thrive in ambiguity, communicate with clarity, and influence effectively at senior levels. You’re commercially minded, people‑centric, and take pride in bringing structure, alignment and engagement to complex change.

You will also ideally have:

• Extensive end‑to‑end project delivery experience in a retail environment essential
• Relevant Project Management certifications
• Project governance expertise, with advanced flow and resource management
• Commercial acumen and experience negotiating with external partners
• Experience uplifting project management capability and embedding best practice
• Strength in representing a project to stakeholders at all levels and integrating input from consultants and external experts
• Ability to connect strategic, commercial and operating drivers with project plans and outcomes
• Inclusive leadership that drives engagement, capability building and high‑performance teams
