Summary/Objective

 

This position is responsible for completing the main powder coating process.

Essential Functions
List numerically descriptive functions of the role.

  1. Movement of sandblasted chassis into the paint booth.
  2. Remove all debris from chassis using an air hose.
  3. Coating of chassis following approved procedures and company’s quality standards.
  4. Upkeep of coating equipment to ensure daily functionality.

  1. Must be able to work as a part of a team to achieve the company’s overall goals;

  3. Must be able to read and process written communication including, but not limited to, work orders, frame prints, and measurements;
  4. Must be able to meet production goals and time deadlines for company projects;
  5. Must be able to work with minimum supervision;
  6. Must demonstrate competency in coating procedures;
  7. Must be able to rotate to other production positions as the need arises or as is deemed necessary;
  8. Must be able to operate appropriate equipment including coating gums, pumps, compressors, heating units, tape measures, etc.;
  9. Must be able to physically lift and maneuver weights in excess of fifty pounds;
  10. Must possess successful problem-solving skills;
  11. Must be able to exhibit tact and diplomacy and maintain professional relationships with supervisors, fellow employees, customers, etc.;
  12. Must be able to work under physically and mentally stressful situations;
  13. Must be able to prioritize and easily adapt to changes through the day.

Supervisory Responsibility

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time hourly position for 1st and 2nd shifts located in the Goshen Plant.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  2. Lift truck operator experience preferred (training available).

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Manufacturing/Industry experience.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance 

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must also be able to pass a respirator test.
