This role involves managing HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws. The Regional HR Manager works closely with the leadership team at each facility to ensure that HR strategies align with organizational goals, while promoting a positive work environment and addressing the needs of employees.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Leadership and Strategy:
Oversee HR operations across multiple facilities, ensuring consistent and compliant HR practices in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
Develop and implement regional HR strategies that align with the organization’s goals and culture.
Collaborate with facility leadership teams to identify staffing needs, support employee retention initiatives, and drive employee engagement.
Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:
Lead the recruitment process for positions within the region, including sourcing, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
Work with department heads and hiring managers to ensure timely and effective recruitment of qualified candidates.
Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization and compliance with all onboarding requirements.
Develop recruitment strategies to attract top talent, including attending career fairs and creating partnerships with local institutions.
Employee Relations:
Serve as a point of contact for employees within the region, addressing employee concerns and resolving issues related to performance, behavior, or workplace conflicts.
Investigate and resolve employee complaints, grievances, and disciplinary matters in compliance with company policies and labor laws.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting effective communication and collaboration among staff.
Performance Management:
Oversee the performance appraisal process for all employees within the region, providing guidance to managers on setting goals, conducting evaluations, and addressing performance issues.
Provide coaching and support to managers in handling employee performance challenges, offering solutions for improvement and development.
Identify training and development needs within the region, implementing programs to enhance employee skills and leadership abilities.
Compliance and Policy Enforcement:
Ensure that all HR policies and practices within the region comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor laws and industry regulations, ensuring that the organization is in full compliance.
Implement and enforce company policies and procedures consistently across all regional locations.
Oversee workers’ compensation, employee leave programs, and other benefits administration in compliance with applicable laws.
HR Data Management and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and confidential HR records, including personnel files, benefits information, and employee performance data.
Prepare and present HR reports to senior leadership, tracking key metrics such as turnover, recruitment success, and employee satisfaction.
Analyze HR data to identify trends and develop strategies to improve HR processes and overall employee experience.
Training and Development:
Coordinate and deliver HR-related training sessions for managers and employees on topics such as compliance, leadership, and performance management.
Identify opportunities for professional development within the region and work with facility leadership to create career paths for employees.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and development by encouraging participation in training and educational opportunities.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in human resources, with at least 3 years in a leadership or regional HR role. Experience in healthcare, long-term care, or a similar industry is a plus.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience overseeing HR operations across multiple locations.
In-depth knowledge of employment laws, labor regulations, and HR best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive employee matters with discretion.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in HR information systems (HRIS) and HR data analysis.
