Summary

Lincoln Electric is seeking an Electronics Engineering Technician to provide hands-on technical support to our Welding Technology engineering team. This role focuses on troubleshooting, assembly, repair, and testing of electronic systems used in welding and power equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically curious, and comfortable working side-by-side with engineers in a lab environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support engineers in troubleshooting, repairing, and validating electronic systems and components
  • Build and modify wiring harnesses and perform PCB board repairs and rework
  • Assist in the development, setup, and maintenance of test fixtures and test environments
  • Execute functional and performance testing on welding and power equipment, documenting results and observations
  • Maintain tools, test equipment, and lab organization to support efficient engineering workflows
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to ensure project timelines and development objectives are met

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree (2-year technical degree) in Electronics or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronics assembly, troubleshooting, or repair
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and component datasheets
  • Proficiency with soldering, wiring, and electronic test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with power electronics, motor drives, or welding equipment a plus
