Technician – Paint Line Wash System
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring equipment performance, adjust calibrations, preserve chemical balances, and maintain the wash pre-treat system to support production paint line. Track various data associated with Wastewater Treatment, report any inconsistencies, trouble shoot abnormal conditions and complete preventative maintenance.
Performance Expectations
Complete visual checks of the Wastewater Treatment System
Complete and manage titration procedures for all 7 washer stages.
Maintain Wastewater Treatment System
Troubleshoot abnormal conditions in the titration procedures and/or wastewater treatment system.
Maintain chemical inventory.
Receive and store chemicals in the proper locations based on SDS.
Perform other tasks/duties as assigned.
Credentials
Some completion of secondary school or equivalent
Chemistry courses are an asset but not required
Minimum one year manufacturing experience preferred
Desired Characteristics
Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate with team members and suppliers.
Familiar with various computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently and/or with a partner to complete large or complex jobs as required. Work in a team environment under the direction of the supervisor.
Possess problem solving skills to resolve conflicts.
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Ability to read and maintain SPC charts.
Ability to interpret and follow city regulations in terms of chemical waste removal and to follow wash process manuals and titration work instructions
Previous use of lab equipment an asset
