Customer Service Representative

The Customer Service Representative works in a call-center setting responsible for taking inbound and making outbound calls to customers placing orders for heavy equipment parts. The CSR will engage in customer resolutions utilizing equipment manuals and company resources.
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, Day Shift

Performance Expectations
· Take all incoming calls from customers, new parts orders and update orders into the business operating system.
· Verify all the order information to ensure necessary information is accurate to include billing and ship to address, shipping method, freight account, part number, and order quantities.
· Provide order confirmations, return goods authorization, and invoice copies upon request.
· Assist customers in locating correct manuals and part numbers for specific machines.
· Engage in problem solving and conflict resolution with customers.
· Expedite customer service requests for critical down machines.
· Monitor quotes and open orders to ensure completion.
· Communicate and update customer with order information.
· Upgrade product knowledge through communication with suppliers and manufacturers.
· Perform other tasks/duties as assigned.
Credentials
· A Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on Finance/Accounting and/or work experience in equipment finance/accounting or banking with sales and use tax experience is preferred.
· Minimum of three years’ experience in equipment finance or accounting.
Desired Characteristics
· Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service.
· Call-center experience preferred.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
· Develop and maintain good customer relationships.
· Good problem-solving skills
· Mechanical experience preferred
· Ability to use various computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
· Attention to detail is required to ensure accuracy on each order
· Ability to calculate discounts, taxes and currency exchange.
· Learn by on-the-job observation and interaction with co-workers.
· Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practice, and procedures, and terminology of parts.
· Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
· Performs a variety of tasks.
· Bi-lingual in French or Spanish preferred
