Job Title: Paint Line Coordinator
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, direct and control accurate and efficient levels of product flow onto the paint line. Amalgamate information from multiple sources to prioritize product sequence and delegate tasks to load and/or offload personnel.
Responsibility:
Cycle counting parts and updating Where-We’re-At (WWA) spreadsheet to accurately record parts as they go onto and/or come off the line.
Ensure all needed parts are painted and available for their respective assembly lines.
Direct and monitor load employees to ensure windows are loaded and parts are distributed correctly to minimize delays.
Communicate constantly via radio and email with various supervisors and departments to prioritize and schedule a timely delivery of prepared parts.
Provide information to supervisors and departments regarding the status of parts for each line.
Monitor and address part shortages, line down, or inventory discrepancies to limit and prevent downtime and delays.
Organize and update inventory paint list from each line to accurately prioritize “hot” parts.
Verify checklist completion for each window prior to delivery.
Complete all necessary tracking documentation and paperwork to maintain organization and flow of parts.
Assist load employees whenever necessary to ensure all materials and carts are in the correct location, and the workstation remains clean at all times.
Work with Quality Assurance personnel to determine that parts meet required standards.
Maintain computerized inventory control system in conjunction with manual systems.
Perform other duties/projects as assigned.
Academic/Educational Requirements:
Highschool diploma or equivalent
One year of related training and/or experience
Ability to use computer applications to communicate and record information as required. Experience with Excel is considered an asset.
Possess problem solving skills to resolve conflicts.
Ability to perform and make decisions under pressure
Strong multitasking capabilities. Updating documentation and directing employees while maintaining cooperation and build rates.
Ability to work with others. Direct a team to get materials ready so that they may be moved out efficiently.
Ability to appropriately analyze, prioritize and consolidate information that is provided from various sources.
Strong written and oral communication. Delegate tasks and provide information to various personnel plant wide.
Ongoing learning to maintain a current knowledge of equipment technology, electronics and safety. Participate in training where applicable.
