About the Role:

The HR Generalist plays a pivotal role in managing and supporting the full spectrum of human resources functions within the organization. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture. The HR Generalist will handle employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, and performance management to support organizational goals. By acting as a trusted advisor to both management and employees, this role helps to resolve workplace issues and promote employee engagement. Ultimately, the HR Generalist contributes to building a resilient workforce that drives the company’s success and growth.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a human resources role with generalist responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations applicable in the United States.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional HR certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems, ideally ADP, and  benefits administration platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with employee engagement and organizational development initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the recruitment process including job postings, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and onboarding new hires.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with benefits-related inquiries.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment law compliance.
  • Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and prepare reports related to HR metrics and compliance.
  • Coordinate performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and development plans.
  • Support training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Assist with payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate compensation administration.
  • Schedule flexibility with meeting the organization's needs.

The HR Generalist utilizes strong communication skills daily to effectively interact with employees at all levels and to clearly convey policies and procedures. Analytical skills are essential for interpreting HR metrics and ensuring compliance with employment laws. Organizational skills enable the HR Generalist to manage multiple tasks such as recruitment, benefits administration, and employee relations efficiently. Problem-solving and exercising sound decision making skills are applied when addressing workplace conflicts and developing solutions that align with company values. Additionally, proficiency with HRIS and other technology tools supports accurate record-keeping and streamlines HR processes.
