This position reports to a Clinical Director.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Duties&nbsp;and&nbsp;Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provides clinical services such as individual and group therapy, case management, and crisis intervention&nbsp;services&nbsp;to&nbsp;Lighthouse&nbsp;clients&nbsp;within&nbsp;the&nbsp;scope&nbsp;of&nbsp;practice&nbsp;and&nbsp;as&nbsp;privileged&nbsp;by&nbsp;the&nbsp;supervisor.&nbsp;</li> <li>Completes&nbsp;the&nbsp;crisis&nbsp;and&nbsp;safety&nbsp;plan,&nbsp;treatment&nbsp;plan,&nbsp;service&nbsp;notes,&nbsp;transition&nbsp;and&nbsp;discharge&nbsp;plan,&nbsp;forms, and miscellaneous job-related reports about a person served in the&nbsp;time frame&nbsp;required by the center, accreditation and certification bodies, respective professional licensing boards, and funding sources.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintains&nbsp;an&nbsp;accurate&nbsp;and&nbsp;complete&nbsp;clinical&nbsp;record&nbsp;for&nbsp;each&nbsp;client&nbsp;served&nbsp;under&nbsp;Quality&nbsp;Improvement and billing standards.&nbsp;</li> <li>Assists&nbsp;in&nbsp;program&nbsp;development&nbsp;and&nbsp;planning&nbsp;as&nbsp;assigned.&nbsp;</li> <li>Responds&nbsp;to&nbsp;requests&nbsp;for&nbsp;clinical&nbsp;information&nbsp;on&nbsp;clients&nbsp;served&nbsp;as&nbsp;allowed&nbsp;by&nbsp;law&nbsp;and&nbsp;applicable&nbsp;rules and regulations. Verbal and written communications of Protected Health Information (PHI) must&nbsp;comply with&nbsp;42 CFR Part 2, mental health laws, and HIPAA. The Counselor shares&nbsp;only information within the scope of practice and professional licensing standards.&nbsp;</li> <li>Keeps&nbsp;abreast&nbsp;of&nbsp;community&nbsp;resources,&nbsp;educates&nbsp;clients&nbsp;about&nbsp;those&nbsp;resources,&nbsp;and&nbsp;makes&nbsp;appropriate referrals&nbsp;as needed to meet client needs.
