Position Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Java to design, develop, and optimize large-scale backend systems. The ideal candidate is passionate about building high‑performance, scalable, and reliable services, and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality backend services using Java and related technologies.
Architect and implement scalable microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
Optimize application performance, reliability, and security.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—Product, DevOps, QA, and Frontend—to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
Participate in code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior engineers.
Troubleshoot production issues and implement long‑term solutions.
Drive best practices for coding standards, CI/CD, observability, and automation.
Contribute to architectural discussions and technology roadmap decisions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
6+ years of backend development experience, with strong focus on Java.
Expertise in Java 8+, Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed system design.
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Solid experience with caching, messaging queues (Kafka), and asynchronous processing.
Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
Excellent debugging, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with reactive programming (e.g., Spring WebFlux, Reactor).
Familiarity with event‑driven architectures.
Exposure to API Gateways, service mesh, and container orchestration at scale.
Knowledge of performance tuning and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK).
Contribution to open‑source projects is a plus.
Soft Skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to lead technical discussions and influence architecture decisions.
Self‑driven, proactive, and comfortable working in an agile environment.
