Job Title: Art Lead

Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

• Lead day-to-day functions, guidance and people management of the art team within the studio

• Contribute expertise in the development of art direction, static images, and animation sequences for games developed by the studio

• Provide expert opinion on gaming content globally from the perspective of the end user.

• Create or direct concept art in accordance with new creative briefs

• Contribute to deliverables in the graphics team

• Align and Liaise with software engineers, and game designers on games in development

Qualifications:

Education / Experience:

• Strong experience in a Studio Art Team Lead role or similar in land based or digital slot games industry, with a great portfolio of games

• Concrete appreciation of current market trends.

• Recognized tertiary qualifications in the graphics industry

• The highest level of awareness and interest in the gaming industry and gaming related products.

• An understanding of the factors relating to the timely progression of game projects through studio development, internal testing, submissions to ATF, and ultimate release of games to market.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent design, layout, typography and illustration skills

• In depth experience with Adobe CS suite

• Experience directing or creating animation sequences

• Good Communication skills

• Highly organized and strong ability to prioritize work

• Foster independent discussion of ideas among colleagues

• Have knowledge of historical industry trends.

• Leadership capabilities aligned to running a large art and graphics team

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
