Staff Software Engineer, Conversion ML

Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Redwood City, CA, Liftoff has a diverse, global presence.</span></p></div><p><strong>As a Software Engineer on the Conversion ML group, you will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design &amp; implement reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient ML pipelines – Build and scale efficient pipelines for real-time and batch processing.</li> <li>Gain hands-on experience with training and serving ML models at scale.</li> <li>Develop software that enhances team productivity.</li> <li>Model Monitoring &amp; Improvement – Track performance, detect drift, and automate retraining.</li> <li>Work with an experienced team of ML, Software, and Infrastructure Engineers</li> <li>Use strong communication skills (verbal and written) to explain statistical and machine learning concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.</li> <li>Be part of an “engineering excellence” culture through state-of-the-art tools, risk-driven testing, explainable systems, and code review.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>8+ years of industry experience in Software Engineering and/or Infrastructure</li> <li>B.S. or higher in Computer Science</li> <li>Very strong coding ability</li> <li>Experience with Machine Learning, PyTorch and PySpark</li> <li>Deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures, and algorithms</li> <li>Experience building machine learning tooling and/or platforms</li> <li>Good team communication and collaboration skills</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to haves:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Previous experience in ad-tech</li> <li>Python, Golang</li> </ul> <p>Working at Liftoff is fast-paced, fun, and challenging, and we thrive on innovation. We expect our employees to attend these gatherings at least once per quarter. These gatherings provide essential opportunities for collaboration, communication, and team building.</p> <p><strong>Compensation:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Liftoff offers all employees a full compensation package that includes equity and health/vision/dental benefits associated with your country of residence.
