POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Director, the Quality Coordinator will work to develop, support, and maintain consistent Quality Assurance (QA), compliance and best practices across LifeSkills I/DD programs and services
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and facilitate I/DD QI Plan development and ensure follow up and accountability.
Lead and facilitate QI Committees – identify and address quality/compliance issues, develop strategies for systems improvement, initiate changes as needed.
Monitor I/DD programs for compliance with regulations, policies, and state/federal requirements– including chart audits, mock reviews, site visits (interviewing participants/staff).
Assist managers with program review/audit preparation, response and corrective action plan development and follow up as needed.
Lead and facilitate participant/family/staff satisfaction survey processes.
Assist with handbook/policy/procedure review and development.
Serve as a general consultant for managers and staff regarding quality/compliance/best practices questions and concerns.
Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies and policie.s
Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Provide training and guidance to staff on quality assurance processes and best practices.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and regulatory requirements related to quality assurance.
Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during inspections and audits.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence within the organization.
Collaborate with Director of QI and other senior management to develop and manage a system for measuring IDD related quality measures.
Prepare detailed reports on quality assurance activities and present findings to senior management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS / EXPECTATIONS:
Willingness to travel within all 18 counties served by LifeSkills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey quality standards and expectations.
Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in quality assurance.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum knowledge skills and abilities required to perform the job. This needs to be realistic and not a list of ideal wants. Is a degree required for this position? How much experience is necessary to do the tasks listed above?
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, public health, health care administration or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience working in quality assurance, compliance and/or service provision in the IDD field.
Excellent analytical skills with experience in data collection, interpretation and reporting.
