The Facilities team supports our main hospital, Assisted Living, and physician and specialty clinics. Our team is made up of skilled mechanics, engineers, and technicians working to directly support our mission to providing high quality patient care by keeping our infrastructure, systems, and equipment running smoothly to the highest standards. 

How you’ll contribute   

A Maintenance Engineer who excels in this role: 

  • Performs safety and operational tests on critical utility systems as mandated by regulatory agencies or hospital policies, including but not limited to: backflow preventions, water chemistry, alarms, steam traps, microwaves, emergency generators. Performs monthly generator test.
  • Troubleshoots equipment using various diagnostic tools. 
  • Works independently with minimal supervision. Proficiently completes assignments and prioritizes workload.

What we’re looking for 
Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and valid driver’s license.

  • Must be able to meet Fauquier Health driver’s insurance eligibility requirements.
  • Journeyman HVAC, Plumbing or Electrical certification is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of previous facility maintenance experience in a hospital setting is highly preferred.
