Responsible for ensuring patient care documentation is complete, accurate, compliant and timely. Providing copies of records as needed for continuation of care. 
 

How you’ll contribute

A Record Analyst II who excels in this role:

  • Assembles and analyzes inpatient, emergency department, outpatient surgery, observation medical records according to established protocols.

  • Enters, modifies, and deletes correctable record deficiencies in EHR to ensure complete and timely medical records.

  • Interacts with hospital and medical staff to coordinate the completion of medical records and the generation of information needed for the quality improvement program.

  • Monitors the completion rate of medical records for generating incomplete/delinquency medical record notification letters, keeping supervisor appraised of status of incomplete records.

  • Reviews authenticity of requests for release of information and responds accordingly, providing access to or copies of appropriate sections of the medical record and accurately logging such requests in ROI software program and in the medical record.

  • Prepares or assists in preparation of medical records and certified copies needed to respond to subpoenas and court hearings or for patient transfer to other facilities.

  • Performs other record management duties, such as late filing, purging and imaging of patient records.

What we’re looking for 
Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional requirements include:

  • Medical terminology.

  • Data entry and typing skills.
    Ability to communicate and work effectively with all hospital personnel.
