Location: Fully remote or Hybrid w/ in-person presence at Lifemark Physiotherapy Sackville Sports Stadium - 409 Glendale Drive, Lower Sackville, NS, B4C 2T6 

Status: Full-Time and Part-Time available  

Pay: Salary and generous benefits for permanent full-time employees, Fee for service split possible for part-time 

 

Lifemark Physiotherapy Sackville Sports Stadium is a team of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing early and effective services. Services include physiotherapy, massage therapy, mental health services, and more, to assist with the treatment, management, and prevention of injuries. Lifemark has industry-leading expertise in providing high quality physiotherapy and rehabilitation services in a cost-effective manner. Our rehabilitation centres have a customer-oriented philosophy that continually exceeds our clients' expectations with uncompromising personalized service. We even have a pool and full gym at our disposal so we can do more complex and comprehensive multidisciplinary rehabilitation planning! 

As the designated service provider for Partner in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS), Lifemark Health Group is seeking Clinical Psychologists to join our interdisciplinary teams. In this role, you will deliver medical, psychological, psychosocial, and vocational rehabilitation services to eligible veterans. In addition to working with veterans, we provide mental health and rehabilitation treatment to clients recovering from motor vehicle accidents, work-related injuries (WCB), long-term disability, sports injuries, and all musculoskeletal conditions.

  • Collaborative Environment:Work alongside a supportive team of Psychologists, Psychotherapists, OTs, PTs, and other allied health professionals.

You will find purpose in this role by:  

  • Leveraging novel approaches to the delivery of mental health services, including adjunct digital therapeutics. 
  • Delivering individual treatment for a wide range of presenting concerns, including anxiety, trauma, depression, somatic complaints, substance misuse, adjustment, and interpersonal issues. 
  • Consulting with other mental health service team members and clinical interdisciplinary teams. 
  • Contributing to in-house training sessions and interdisciplinary case discussions. 
  • Contributing to program outcome evaluations at the provincial and national level.

Education and Licensure: 

  • Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Psychology from an accredited university. 
  • Formal training in diagnostic / formal assessments (MMPI-3, PAI) is required.
  • Current registration in good standing with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology(competency with adult populations required; clinical designation required; counseling psychology, health/rehabilitation psychology, neuropsychology considered assets). 
  • Individual professional liability insurance is required at the time of employment.

Applied Experience: 

  • Conducting psychological assessments with adults for various goals, including treatment planning.
  • Providing various evidence-based treatments grounded in cognitive behavioral approaches. 
  • Working in interdisciplinary teams and third-party payers is considered an asset. 
  • Utilizing telehealth/virtual care methods is considered an asset.

Additional Abilities: 

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Able to work both autonomously and as part of interdisciplinary teams. 
  • Efficient with required clinical documentation. 
  • Able to manage a diverse caseload within a dynamic work setting. 
  • Demonstrated work ethics, integrity, reliability, maturity, and flexibility.
