About this role

Area Manager, Occupational Rehabilitation – Interior British Columbia

Location: Interior BC
Model: Hybrid | Travel required across 4–6 clinic locations
Reports to: Provincial Leader, British Columbia

About Lifemark Health Group

At Lifemark, we believe movement is the foundation of a better life. As Canada’s largest rehabilitation company, we support injury recovery, occupational rehabilitation, and return-to-work journeys that restore function, confidence, and independence.

Lead with impact. Drive meaningful outcomes.

This is a new leadership role for British Columbia and a key investment in our Interior region. Candidates currently living in the Interior of BC—or with strong ties to the region—will be given priority consideration, recognizing the value of local insight, community connection, and regional leadership presence.

Our Interior BC Occupational Rehabilitation network is a highly specialized group of clinics delivering structured, evidence-based services for ICBC, WorkSafeBC, Insurers and employer partners. Operating at the intersection of healthcare, occupational rehabilitation, and functional recovery, these clinics make a measurable impact every day.

We are seeking a hands-on, business-minded Area Manager to provide operational leadership and oversight to approximately five Occupational Rehabilitation-focused clinics, including return-to-work (RTW) programming, MVA-related assessments, and functional restoration services.

This role is ideal for a leader who understands clinical operations, P&L accountability, and people leadership, and who excels at aligning outcomes, relationships, and performance.  Reporting to the Provincial Leader, you will partner closely with Clinic Directors, acting as a business coach and problem-solver, while ensuring operational excellence and supporting a strong and thriving clinic culture.

For clinicians stepping into leadership, there may be opportunities to maintain a small, part-time clinical practice within the network. Staying connected to patient care can support continuous improvement, credibility with teams, and informed decision-making at the clinic level.

The Clinics You’ll Support in the Interior BC network includes:

  • High-volume occupational rehabilitation clinics serving ICBC, WorkSafeBC, and third-party funders
  • Multidisciplinary teams of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Kinesiologists, Psychologists and administrative professionals
  • Established referral relationships supporting complex injury management, including chronic pain and prolonged recovery
  • Community-embedded clinics with strong reputations and experienced teams

What You’ll Do

Operational & Financial Leadership

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across 4–6 clinics
  • Drive clinic-level P&L performance, utilization, and margin optimization
  • Monitor KPIs related to growth, efficiency, outcomes, and retention
  • Identify risks and implement sustainable operational solutions

People & Culture Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and support Clinic Directors
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and psychological safety
  • Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition on recruitment, retention, and succession planning

Clinical & Program Excellence

  • Ensure consistent delivery of Occupational Rehabilitation programs aligned with Lifemark standards
  • Support clinics with complex cases and insurer/employer expectations
  • Promote interdisciplinary collaboration and evidence-based practice

Stakeholder & Growth Leadership

  • Build strong relationships with WorkSafeBC, ICBC, employers, insurers, and referral partners
  • Support service reviews, feedback management, and contract discussions
  • Contribute to regional growth, service expansion, and program development

What You Bring

  • Strong business acumen, including P&L oversight or influence
  • Multi-site leadership experience, ideally in healthcare or rehabilitation
  • Clinical background (PT, OT, Kinesiology, or similar) strongly preferred
  • Experience in occupational rehab, private practice, or insurer-funded programs
  • Proven people leadership with a coaching mindset
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
