The FORUM is recruiting for a hospitality focused MAINTENANCE TECH to join our team! The Maintenance Tech - HVAC person is responsible for all aspects of the cooling tower, pumps and motors, including conducting preventive maintenance, routine servicing, seasonal repairs and changes on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
Employment Status: Full Time
Hourly Range: $28.00- $ 45.00
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Maintenance Tech:
Provides excellent customer service to residents as demonstrated by doing the following:
Preview work order and arrive at unit prepared with all tools/parts needed.
Greet the resident by name, introduce yourself, and tell him/her what you will be working on.
Wear protective ‘booties’ over shoes when entering residents’ unit, if requested.
If the resident is not home, leave a note.
Thoroughly clean up after yourself when finished with the job.
Maintain personal cleanliness.
May complete apartment turnovers and scheduled pool/pond/lake maintenance.
Assigned one week of on-call duty approximately once each quarter.
Conducts technical training sessions for staff related to HVAC, as well as safety training as scheduled by the assistant director.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
Refrigeration Processing Certification
Minimum five years of increasing responsibilities and experience in troubleshooting and repair of HVAC systems and plant operations equipment in a complex commercial, industrial, or healthcare setting.
Must be knowledgeable in troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and testing of various pumps, boilers, HVAC, Plumbing, cooling towers, kitchen, and laundry equipment.
Basic understanding of state and national codes pertaining to HVAC systems.
Basic understanding of electrical circuits on HVAC control systems.
In-depth knowledge of blueprints and schematics.
Computer proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicates effectively, and performs simple arithmetic.
Must have a passion for providing excellent customer service.
