We are currently seeking a Per Diem Other Licensed Practitioner (OLP) Therapist to join our growing team.

OLP Therapist Position Summary:

The OLP Therapist is primarily responsible for providing direct therapeutic and supportive services to children and families receiving Medicaid. These children are aged 0-21 and have or will require a mental health diagnosis. The OLP also provides assessment/evaluation services to families seeking access to CFTSS services.

OLP Therapist Job Responsibilities: 

  • Conducts licensed evaluation (assessment) for CFTSS including gathering data from parents, children and other relevant sources to generate a recommendation outlining medical necessity for CFTSS as appropriate.
  • Develops treatment plans with goals in relation to needs identified during the assessment process.
  • Provides psychotherapy (counseling) to children and families in a home-based or telehealth setting.
  • Provides crisis intervention activities as needed.
  • Maintains and updates individual client case records utilizing electronic health records.

 

OLP Therapist Qualifications

  • Must meet the NYS Medicaid qualifications for a non-physician licensed behavioral health practitioner (NP-LBHP). This includes: Licensed Psychoanalysts, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists, Licensed Mental Health Counselors, and Licensed Masters Social Workers under the supervision of LCSW, licensed Psychologists or Psychiatrists.
  • As part of hiring, must be cleared by the State Child Abuse Registry and must complete fingerprinting clearance
  • Experience providing home-based counseling to children and families and completing assessment and treatment planning preferred.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation

 

Required Skills and Abilities:

Must work in a family-focused and child-centered way. Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are required. Must be able to work independently and with flexibility in days and hours of work. Computer literacy is required. Must demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, and an understanding of the clinical issues affecting families in multiple systems.

 

Starting Rate: $69.48 per hour for individual therapy/$92.87 per hour for evaluations
